Includes a five-hour practicum experience in structured and guided observation of students with disabilities in the adapted curriculum. Students expected to provide transportation to field site. P: SPED 2000. Comprehensive survey of students with disabilities receiving services in the adapted curriculum. Emphasis on child development characteristics, historical aspects, etiology, identification, theoretical explanations and models, Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and placement alternatives.
