PADP 6850 - Health Promotion/Disease Prevention 2
Basic concepts include distribution, prevalence, causation, mode of transmission and dissemination, control, and prevention strategies used to counter significant infectious disease and occupational injuries. Investigates reportable diseases and conditions; role of state health departments in the process; and role of CDC&P in collecting and evaluating data reported by state, identifying emerging pathogens, and informing treatment community in a timely manner through such venues as the MMWR.
