Prospective dance majors must be admitted both to the university and to the dance program as intended majors of the ECU School of Theatre and Dance. Admission to the dance program as an intended major is determined by an acceptable level of performance, and verbal and written communication as demonstrated through an entrance audition, a writing sample and an interview. A satisfactory audition is required of all entering freshmen, transfer students, and students being readmitted.
