Criminal Law and Legal Process Minor

The criminal law and legal process minor focuses on criminal law, criminal procedure, the judiciary and court process, and critical reasoning. The minor is a natural complement to the criminal justice major, particularly for those students preparing for law school, but would also benefit students in related fields such as history, philosophy, political science, and sociology.

The minor is open to any student. To be admitted to the program, students must complete JUST 1000 with a grade of C (2.0) or higher and have a minimum GPA of 2.5. All JUST courses taken as part of the minor must be completed with a grade of C (2.0) or higher. Students are expected to maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 throughout the program. Only 6 s.h. of JUST courses used for the minor may count towards the criminal justice major  .
