The interdisciplinary graduate certificate in economic development provides students with opportunities to develop analytical, theoretical, and practical skills for both public and private sector careers in regional, economic, and community development. The certificate is open to students enrolled in graduate degree or certificate programs. The program offers a flexible design to provide students from diverse disciplinary backgrounds with the opportunity to acquire a foundation in regional, economic, and community development while specializing in their respective areas of interest.
The program requires completion of 15 s.h. as follows:

Select three of the following core courses:
Elective courses - 6 s.h.
Elective courses should be selected in consultation with the certificate program coordinator. Students are encouraged to choose an elective in an area of specialization. A list of appropriate electives is available from the certificate coordinator(s).
