Dual Language Immersion Administration Certificate

Program Coordinator: Marjorie Campo Ringler (210 Ragsdale Hall; 252-328-4825; ringlerm@ecu.edu)

The Dual Language Immersion Administration Certificate provides teacher leaders, school leaders, and district administrators with the knowledge and skills necessary to implement successful dual language immersion administration (DLI) programs in schools. The overall objective of the program is to provide DLI professional development for individuals that are implementing, maintaining, and assessing DLI programs in schools and districts. Specifically, candidates who successfully complete the certificate will have a broad-based knowledge of how to educate an increasingly linguistically diverse student population.

The certificate requires 12 semester hours.

Admission requirements:

  • Complete the Graduate School online application with paid fees
  • Have a master’s degree from an accredited academic institution
  • Have three years of successful school leadership experience
  • Be a graduate student or education professional working in his or her respective fields

Note:

Preference will be given to candidates with licensure in administration or supervision.
