NC Community College Transfers

The North Carolina Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (CAA) is a statewide agreement governing the transfer of credits between NC community colleges and NC public universities, with the objective of creating smooth transfer for students.

If you are currently attending a North Carolina Community College to complete an AA, AS, AATP, or ASTP degree, with plans to transfer to ECU, the UNC System has developed Transfer Guides to assist in selecting coursework at the community college. Following these guides will ensure you are best positioned to transfer smoothly to ECU and mitigate extra semesters toward graduation. Please note that these guides are published as an example of how a degree from ECU can be completed through a NC community college; they are subject to change each year with updates to the Undergraduate Catalog, course availability, prior credit, and course pre-requisites. Students should seek academic advising through ECU to determine their best course of study to meet their goals and degree requirements.

UNC System Transfer Guides are housed on the Transfer Hub and CFNC.
