Academic Unit Changes

The following changes have been approved via the campus approval process: 

• The Department of Recreation Sciences within the College of Health and Human Performance  has been renamed to the Department of Recreation Sciences and Sport Management .
• The Department of Geography, Planning and Environment and the Department of Geological Sciences have merged and are now the Department of Earth, Environment and Planning . 
• The School of Music  removed their department structure (previously five departments). 
• The College of Education  has reorganized going from six departments to four. The departments are: 
  • Department of Educational Leadership and Foundations  
  • Department of Elementary, Middle, and Secondary Education  
  • Department of Literacy Studies and Special Education  
  • Department of Interdisciplinary Professions
