P: MATH 3308 or consent of instructor. An introduction to computing targeted at statistics students with minimal programming knowledge. Emphasis on core ideas of programming illustrated through key statistical topics including (but not limited to) methods of moments, maximum likelihood estimations, linear models, nonlinear models, basic optimizations, graphics, and simulations.
