GEOL 4900 - Sedimentology and Stratigraphy

3 lecture and 3 lab hours per week are required. P: GEOL 1500, GEOL 1501; C: GEOL 4901.

Students will explore description, interpretation, and analysis of processes and products of sedimentation. Includes low mechanics and sedimentary structures, depositional systems, sedimentation and tectonics, the effects of sea level on depositional systems, methods of description, and classification of sediments and sedimentary rocks.
