For students with limited experience in Spanish-speaking environments. May receive credit for one of SPAN 3001, SPAN 3003. P: Minimum grade of B- (2.7) in SPAN 2004 or consent of instructor;

Intensive development of oral and written communication skills for use in everyday situations, including vocabulary growth, listening and reading comprehension, and correctness in grammar. Practice in performance-based tasks and comprehensive review of grammatical forms and usage. Emphasis on vocabulary development.
