Integrating social studies and English education, the course equips preservice and in-service teachers to foster critical thinking, civic engagement, and community awareness. Participants will examine key issues such as curriculum standards, content controversies, and professional challenges while exploring strategies for building classroom success for all students and facilitating academic discourse. Through analysis of readings, teaching performances, discussions, and projects, educators will learn to design interdisciplinary curricula.
