The School of Art and Design has been continuously accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design since 1962. The School offers two undergraduate degree programs and two minors.

Transfer Student Information

Students who wish to have art (ART) or art history (ARTH) transfer credits reevaluated after acceptance to East Carolina University (Admission and Readmission , Admission Requirements, Transfer Sudents) must follow the university’s procedure for reevaluation of transfer credit.

Additionally, the following must be submitted to the director of the School of Art and Design:

• A catalog description of the transfer course(s)
• For studio courses, examples of work (may be digital) showing all projects
• For art history courses, a list of textbooks and/or readings and copies of papers
