Health Information Management Certificate

Applicants for the health information management certificate must present evidence of an undergraduate degree earned from a regionally accredited institution and completion of the following prerequisite courses within 5 years of making application to the certificate program: BIOL 2130, BIOL 2131, BIOS 1500, HIMA 3000, HIMA 3120, HSMA 3115 and MIS 2223. Course descriptions for these courses can be found by going to the Undergraduate Catalog.
The prerequisite courses cannot be taken concurrently with the health information management certificate courses.

The certificate requires successful completion of 24 s.h. from the following courses:

Certificate students may transfer credits to other graduate programs but acceptance into the certificate program does not guarantee acceptance into other programs and nondegree students can only apply 9 s.h. toward a graduate degree. |
