Business Analytics Certificate

The business analytics certificate is designed to enable students to acquire advanced business analytics knowledge and data mining experience working with real business data sets. Students who successfully complete the program will demonstrate proficiency with social, legal and ethical issues related to business analytics, foundational statistical and quantitative skills, as well as technical experience using various data mining and analytics tools.

The certificate was developed with the input of numerous leading recruiters of data analysts, and is offered in conjunction with SAS’s Joint Certificate Program, which assures that those who successfully complete the program have demonstrated proficiency with current industry-leading data analysis tools.

Admission requirements:


Acceptance into the certificate program is dependent upon, but not limited to, one of the following:

  • a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.7
  • 5 years of progressive professional experience and an undergraduate degree
  • a graduate degree
  • enrollment in a graduate degree program at East Carolina University
