Students who complete the biostatistics certificate will be prepared to analyze many types of health science data. There is a growing demand for these skills in the workplace. More emphasis is placed on health science data in the required and elective courses for this certificate than is typically the case for other statistics courses offered by East Carolina University.
Applicants for the biostatistics certificate must hold a baccalaureate degree. To be awarded the certificate, a student must earn at least a B in all courses that count towards the certificate and complete the coursework for the certificate within five years of being accepted into the certificate program.
