The Healthcare Emergency Planning and Disaster Response Certificate prepares healthcare professionals for interprofessional leadership during local, state, national, and international healthcare emergencies or natural disasters. Courses are focused on the prevention and mitigation of adverse health outcomes, particularly with vulnerable populations. The certificate requires 12 semester hours.

Admission Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited program
- A current, nonrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse (RN) in North Carolina
