Foreign Language Education Minor

The Foreign Language Education Minor serves students completing the Foreign Languages and Literatures, BA degree with a concentration in Spanish and Hispanic Studies, German Studies, or French and Francophone Studies who wish to pursue certification to teach in the K-12 classroom.
The minor requires 44 s.h. as follows:

Required cognates - 9 s.h.
Professional studies - 24 s.h.
Specialty area studies - 11 s.h.
Licensure Testing Requirements
- Entrance testing: SAT or ACT minimum score or Praxis Core minimum score
- Language proficiency exit testing: Praxis II in the language or OPI/WPT in the language
- Exit pedagogical performance-based assessment - EdTPA
