Security Studies Minor

The Security Studies Minor offered by the Department of Political Science is designed to provide an interdisciplinary overview of security-related issues, policies, and infrastructure that has developed in response to homeland and international challenges. The program is designed to accommodate students from a broad spectrum of degree programs within the university who have a desire to apply their majors to the growing security community, whether it be at local, state, and federal governments, or in the private or nonprofit sectors.

The minor requires 18 s.h. as follows:

1. Core - 6 s.h.

SECS 1000 - Introduction to Security Studies
SECS 4000 - Senior Seminar in Security Studies

2. Electives - 12 s.h.
