P: Graduate status; C or better in ENGR 2050 and MATH 2154 or MATH 4331; or consent of instructor. Solving engineering problems using numerical methods and software. Study and implementation of truncation and round-off error, root finding, optimization, linear and polynomial regression, interpolation, splines, numerical integration, numerical diffferentiation, solution of linear simultaneous equations, and solution of ordinary differential equations.
