GEOL 4000 - Field Course in Geology

Requires full-time commitment for the entire 3-week session. Location of field course experience varies each year. P: GEOL 3070, GEOL 3071, GEOL 3200, GEOL 3201, GEOL 3300, GEOL 3301.

Capstone field experience for the Earth science concentration. Development of the ability to think like scientists in the field by making observations, interpreting data, testing hypotheses, and developing diverse skills, all while working as part of a team. A range of products will be produced, including geological maps and cross sections, plots of geological and geophysical data, and professional written reports.
