Focusing on disciplinary literacy in grades 6-12 English Language Arts, the course equips teacher candidates to guide students in reading, writing, and critical thinking within the English discipline. Emphasizing rigorous, content-specific strategies aligned with standards, candidates will design lesson plans incorporating reading and writing processes, digital tools, and discourse techniques that foster engagement and academic growth.
