Management information systems (MIS) is about applying information technology to business problems. The MIS professional uses enhanced critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills to bridge the gap between engineers/scientists and business professionals.  MIS includes working with information technology (IT), people, processes, and data to take advantage of business opportunities, aid decision makers, and solve business problems.
