Coursework and competencies for reading licensure include reading foundations, reading assessment, word recognition, comprehension, content area literacy instruction, language arts instruction, literacy in diverse contexts, and children’s/adolescent literature. Those interested in considering completing the requirements for reading licensure are advised to contact their academic advisors and/or the Office of Clinical Experiences.
