The theatre design and production minor is intended for students who are interested in developing their skills while engaging in hands-on design and production experiences in scenery, costume, lighting, and props for live theatrical performances.
Students will begin the minor studying all facets of theatre technology and design through coursework that includes lectures and laboratory experiences. As they progress through the program, students will work in consultation with faculty mentors to select areas of focus based on their interests and developing skills, culminating in one advanced course in scenery, lighting, or costume.
To maintain enrollment in the minor program, students must successfully complete a yearly portfolio review.
Please contact the School of Theatre and Dance advisor to add a minor in theatre design and production (reddickk14@ecu.edu). If you have questions about the minor, please contact the program coordinator (parkerje@ecu.edu).
