The hospitality management certificate is for those individuals seeking advanced knowledge in hospitality management. The faculty provide a unique combination of academic excellence and industry knowledge that is represented by a diverse collection of teachers and researchers. Career opportunities are offered in hotels, resorts, and diverse food service operations. Additional career paths are available as convention and meeting planners, and as managers at tourist attractions, clubs, conference centers, theme parks, and event management.

Admission requirements:
Acceptance for applicants is dependent upon, but not limited to, one of the following:
- a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.7
- five years of progressive professional experience and an undergraduate degree
- a graduate degree
- enrollment in any graduate degree program in the UNC-System
