The leadership in organizations certificate provides students with the theoretical basis and applied experiences necessary to develop advanced leadership knowledge, skills, and abilities. The certificate provides students with the opportunity to assess their own leadership style and behaviors, as well as apply their leadership skills through leading change within an organization. Students who successfully complete the program will demonstrate proficiency with ethical and multicultural leadership behaviors in a variety of settings.

Admission requirements:
Acceptance into the certificate program is dependent upon, but not limited to, one of the following:
- a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.7
- 5 years of progressive professional experience and an undergraduate degree
- a graduate degree
- enrollment in a graduate degree program at any UNC–system institution
Certificate requirements:
The certificate requires 12 s.h. as follows:
Required courses - 6 s.h.
Electives - 6 s.h.
