Child Life Certificate

The Child Life Certificate is open to post-baccalaureate, current master of science students, and those who have completed a master of science degree and who are interested in learning the foundation knowledge essential for working in the field of child life. Completion of the certificate meets partial coursework requirements by the Association of Child Life Professionals (ACLP). Students must earn a grade of B or better in all certificate courses. Admission to the certificate program does not guarantee admission to the Human Development and Family Science, MS program nor does it guarantee a child life internship. Admission is based on completion of the ECU certificate application and approval by the Human Development and Family Science Admissions Committee.
