3 lecture and 2 lab hours per week. P: ENGR 2050, ENGR 2450; P/C: MATH 2154 or both ENGR 2001 and MATH 4331. Ideal gas law; conservation of mass and energy in steady-state incompressible fluids; friction losses in a pipe; one-dimensional steady-state conduction; and convective heat transfer for simple geometries. Design, conduct, analysis, and interpretation of laboratory studies.
