MUSC 1706 - Marching Band Field Experience

May be repeated for credit. Open to all students. Participation in marching band with teaching component emphasizing marching band pedagogy through student leadership positions. Music majors may count only 2 s.h. of Marching Band Field Experience (MUSC 1706, 1 s.h.) for large ensemble credit. Music majors taking more than 2 s.h. of MUSC 1706 or MUSC 1705 must sign a release form to be made available in the music office and in the SoM Undergraduate Handbook. The form will help clarify that hours above the required 2 s.h. of MUSC 1706 will not count as part of the Music Education degree plan at ECU, and that these extra hours may lead to additional hours on a student’s transcript before graduation.
