Students may major in history through the bachelor of arts program. They may minor in either history or public history.
ECU undergraduate history students with a 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA and a 3.5 minimum GPA in history courses may also apply for admission to the Department of History’s accelerated program after completing a minimum of 75 eligible undergraduate semester hours. If admitted to this highly selective program, students may count up to 12 s.h. of approved graduate-level courses towards completion of both the bachelor’s and the master’s degrees.
