Robert M. O’Halloran, Director

Our students come from across North Carolina and from a multitude of states along the Eastern seaboard. The School of Hospitality began as a program in 1987, grew to become a department in 2007, and later the School of Hospitality Leadership in 2011 and now housed in the College of Business.

The bachelor of science (BS) in hospitality management requires students to complete a 45 s.h. hospitality core, a 9 s.h. business cognate, and 15 s.h. in a hospitality concentration. Three concentrations are offered within the degree program: food and beverage management; lodging management; and conventions and special events management.

Students may be able to complete both the BS in hospitality management and the MBA with the hospitality management option in five years. The BS in hospitality management is also offered via distance education.
