The Mathematics Minor is an excellent option for students who want to develop their computational and analytical skills. ECU’s minor in mathematics requires 18 semester hours of mathematics courses including three semesters of calculus. Students complete an additional two or three upper-level courses. These can be chosen to complement the students’ major courses of study, particularly in STEM fields.
The minor requires 18 s.h. as follows:
|
2. Electives - 6-8 s.h.
Choose 6-8 s.h. of MATH electives numbered above 2999.
Note: There are two MATH courses that may be taken as electives that are not above 2999.
- MATH 2154 may be taken as an elective in place of MATH 4331.
- MATH 2300 may be taken as an elective and is recommended for those who intend to take further math courses.
