Admission to the musical theatre, professional actor training, and theatre for youth concentrations are by adjudication. Please refer to the School of Theatre and Dance website for details.

Theatre arts majors must attain a minimum grade of C- in all required theatre courses.  All theatre (THEA) courses are restricted to declared theatre arts majors. Enrollment by other majors requires permission of instructor.

Minimum degree requirement is 120 s.h. of credit as follows:

1. General education requirements including those listed below - 40 s.h.

3. Concentrations - 56-68 s.h.


(Choose one.)

a. Musical theatre concentration (66 s.h.)


Admission to the musical theatre concentration is by adjudication; refer to the School of Theatre and Dance website for details.

b. Professional actor training concentration (64 s.h.)


Admission to the professional actor training concentration is by adjudication; refer to the School of Theatre and Dance website for details.

c. Stage management concentration (68 s.h.)


Annual portfolio review is required to maintain enrollment in the stage management concentration.

d. Theatre design and production concentration (61 s.h.)


Annual portfolio review is required to maintain enrollment in the theatre design and production concentration.

e. Theatre for youth concentration (56 s.h.)


Admission to the theatre for youth concentration is by adjudication; refer to the School of Theatre and Dance website for details.

Theatre theory and practice (56 s.h.)
