Criminology Minor

The Criminology Minor is intended for students interested in advancing their knowledge of crime and offending behavior. The minor is a natural complement to the criminal justice major but would also benefit students in related fields such as anthropology, political science, psychology, and sociology.

The minor is open to any qualified ECU student. To be admitted, students must complete JUST 1000 with a grade of C (2.0) or higher and have a minimum GPA of 2.0. Students must maintain an overall 2.0 GPA through the program and earn a C (2.0) or higher in all JUST courses. Criminology minors must complete JUST 2004 with a C (2.0) or higher before enrolling in courses above JUST 2999. No more than 6 s.h. of JUST courses used for the minor may count toward the criminal justice major.
