Program Co-Coordinators:

The Nursing Practice, DNP (post-masters nursing leadership option)/Business Administration, MBA dual degree program focuses on developing nursing experts in translating and applying findings in clinical practice through a nursing systems and business lens. Students in the dual degree program work collaboratively with healthcare executives and interprofessional teams within a variety of settings. This program provides a minimum of 1,000 hours of practice postbaccalaureate as part of a supervised academic program. Students integrate coursework from both the College of Nursing and the College of Business. The collaboration offers nursing leaders the opportunity to gain a competitive edge through education at two nationally recognized programs. By sharing six credit hours between the two degrees, students may be able to graduate in a reduced amount of time. The two degrees can be obtained totally online.

Applicants must meet the admission requirements of the university and both master’s degree programs. Students are typically accepted into one program and later admitted to the dual degree program. Applicants must apply to and be accepted by both programs individually before beginning the dual degree program. An application to the Graduate School must be submitted for each degree. The application fee need only be paid once.

Students admitted to the dual degree program are required to meet with both program coordinators to develop a program of study that includes the 6 semester hours of courses that will count towards both degrees from the following two course lists.
