Geographic Information Science Certificate

The course of study for the Geographic Information Science Certificate provides theoretical and technological competencies that prepare students to develop and manage geographic information projects and to interpret and implement geographic information science (GIS) as a decision support system. The program enhances basic and applied research capacity at the undergraduate level. A minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA is required for admission. The student must maintain a B (3.0) average in the certificate courses to remain in the program and receive the GIS certificate.
