Criminology Minor

The Criminology Minor is intended for students interested in advancing their knowledge of crime and offending behavior. The minor benefits students in fields such as anthropology, political science, psychology, and sociology. Criminal justice majors cannot minor in criminology.
The minor is open to any qualified ECU student. To be admitted, students must complete CRIM 1000 with a grade of C (2.0) or higher and have a minimum GPA of 2.0. Students must maintain an overall 2.0 GPA through the program and earn a C (2.0) or higher in all CRIM courses. Criminology minors must complete CRIM 2004 with a C (2.0) or higher before enrolling in courses above CRIM 2999. No more than 6 s.h. of CRIM courses used for the minor may count toward the criminal justice major.
